Tramps and Thieves 2
As if the money order fraud story below wasn't enough for one month, last Friday I received a call that there had been a break in at the Parade House that featured the work of myself and Tommy Allen. It turns out that 10 of my paintings and one of Tommy's photos were stolen sometime late last week. The thieves selected the artwork they wanted and rehung the remaining art as well as labels next to the art as if no one would notice. Grand Rapids Police are on the case and have made some headway. Today the story will go public on tv and in the papers. I do not know if I should be flattered or not, well, I guess I would rather have the work go to someone who cared enough about it to pay for it with hard earned cash instead of stealing it.
